DHA to implement smart healthcare technologies to foster remote patient monitoring

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has revealed its plans to boost the use of smart health technologies to strengthen its services on the occasion of UAE Innovation Month 2021.

Recently, DHA has partnered with Enpy, a Dubai-based startup firm, to explore the use of AI-powered devices for remote patient monitoring. The company specializing in medical artificial intelligence has designed the non-invasive innovative medical device.

According to a statement of DHA, the authority is also working to expand and add newer specializations to its Doctor for Every Citizen telemedicine service.

During the visit to the DHA’s Innovation Centre, Awadh Al Ketbi, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority highlighted the significance of promoting a culture of innovation, especially in the health sector of the country.

Mr.Al Ketbi further added that the DHA will continue to focus on research, innovation and implementation of smart technologies in all aspects of healthcare delivery and management. At the same time, the authority will also continue its focus on medical education and specializations in the sector.

Further, DHA is also planning to implement such technologies across its primary healthcare centers to enhance its remote patient monitoring initiatives that target to ensure patients stay on track with their health, and aid in early detection. It will also help healthcare professionals by offering them important patient data to ensure regular follow-up.
