EDGE Group and 4iG Space and Defense Technologies, a Hungarian defense and technology company, have signed a preliminary agreement at Eurosatory 2026 to establish a joint venture in Hungary focused on non-lethal defense technologies.

The planned collaboration will operate through EDGE’s subsidiary CONDOR Non-Lethal Technologies.

The initiative builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in August 2025 and expands cooperation between the two entities in the field of non-lethal defense systems.

The proposed joint venture will concentrate on the development, manufacture, and commercialization of advanced non-lethal defense solutions.

These include specialized ammunition, pyrotechnics, and smart defense technologies for supporting military and law enforcement operations.

The strategic partnership strengthens localized industrial capabilities in Hungary while also serving broader European demand. It enhances self-reliance in non-lethal systems and meets growing demand for solutions that reduce collateral damage while maintaining operational effectiveness in complex security environments.

As part of the agreement, the partners also plan to establish a regional expertise and testing center in Hungary. The facility will be designed to support European military, law enforcement, and public security organizations by providing equipment evaluation, operational testing, capability development, and specialized training.

This center enables end users to better assess and deploy non-lethal technologies in real-world operational scenarios, particularly in high-risk or urban security contexts.

The agreement advances EDGE’s strategy to expand industrial partnerships and technology transfer through localized manufacturing ecosystems. It also signals deeper cooperation between defense technology players across the Middle East and Europe.
