The Research and Development Department of German firm IBG Group has launched a risk-free mask named AM One offering maximum protection from severe diseases like COVID-19.

The mask is designed with a transparent plastic shield and foam pads on the seal which is covered with nano fabric for protection and comfort.

Local fabric and N95 masks run the risk of infections as there may be a chance for air to get inside the people without filtering the air. But, by employing an ergonomic fit, AM One mitigates the entry of unfiltered air inside the user’s nose. The masks protect from harmful particles with sizes as small as 0.3 microns (PM 0.3) like bacteria, viruses, dust mites, pollen and mold spores.

The detachable face shield and neckband filters of the AM One are designed to provide fresh air to the mask. The detachable face shield is attached to an ergonomically designed air filtration unit worn on the shoulder. This filtration unit has dual-layered fabric and HEPA filters and is powered by 2 motors, which provide clean filter air to the face shield.

The mask also provides the user with crystal clear view using its anti-fog system and is ready at the time when the people are returning back to their workplace across the globe.

While there is no definite consensus on the complete protection with masks, the design of the product allows the ‘sense of security’ to be overcome and eliminate the real risk.

Manish Sansi, Director, IBG Company said, “We’re glad to be able to innovate at a time like this. Ultimately, our technological efforts are dedicated to elevating human lives. What’s more important than protecting yourself and others from the novel coronavirus right now?”

The fully covered detachable shield is available in three different sizes; small, medium and large for a secured and comfortable usage. The AM One mask has already debuted for early backers on their Indiegogo webpage.
