Dubai Loop, an innovative project to revolutionize Dubai’s transport sector, has launched at World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025, an annual event focused on fostering international cooperation and exploring innovative solutions to shape the future of governments.

The project launch was announced by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications and Vice Chair of the World Governments Summit 2025 (WGS), and Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla.

Dubai Loop aims to implement a fast and seamless transportation system across Dubai’s most densely populated areas. During the launch announcement through video call, Musk shared his vision for the future of urban mobility.

This ambitious project comes as part of a larger plan to transform the transport sector by leveraging a network of advanced tunnels, enabling passengers to quickly travel across the city, avoiding traffic congestion.

Musk highlighted that the people could easily travel as if they were moving through a “wormhole” within Dubai, referring to the ability to seamlessly move between two points without long distances or traffic delays.

Tesla CEO also underscored the advantages of tunnel systems over alternatives like flying cars, citing the practicality, safety, and efficiency of tunnels, which are protected from weather and noise, offering a seamless and elevated experience for passengers.

Elon Musk also stressed about enhancing government efficiency and the technology used within government institutions to drive long-term economic growth and prosperity.

Furthermore, during the ceremony, Musk talked about AI chatbot “Grok 3” which is in the final stages of development and is set to roll out within weeks.

“Grok 3 has very powerful reasoning capabilities, so in the tests that we’ve done thus far, Grok 3 is outperforming anything that’s been released, that we’re aware of, so that’s a good sign,” Musk added.
