The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Dubai Startup Hub has launched eight guides to support startups and entrepreneurs in the UAE to run business.

The initiation of the guide was following the conclusion of the Chamber’s fifth and final Networking Series, organized in association with UAE-based Virtuzone, intending to support startups and entrepreneurs in the region.

The newly formulated guide covers eight major sectors, including fintech, healthcare, transportation, education, food & beverage, social impact, sustainability and travel, tourism and hospitality.

The guide gives all resources including relevant data, statistics, opportunities and legislation required for entrepreneurs planning to initiate startups in each of the eight sectors, along with directions for procuring needed licenses.

Further, the guides include a complete list of business incubators and accelerators available to offer support for the entrepreneurs to grow their startups, as well as events and conferences that focus on their specific sectors.

The fifth edition of Dubai Chamber’s Networking Series drew more than 360 participants, 22 percent of them were Emirati entrepreneurs, along with startup owners from around the world tuning in for the virtual event.

“The Dubai Startup Hub’s mandate is to support emerging companies and help them understand and navigate the procedures for establishing businesses in Dubai. The guides are an innovative new tool to help promising startups in each of the target sectors. They form part of the Chamber’s plan to address the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, where a significant chunk of our investments has been earmarked for knowledge-building and providing information for entrepreneurs and startups at this critical time.”

The initiative ultimately enhances Dubai’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and strengthens its position as a global destination for new businesses. It helps in the smooth exchange of knowledge and lays foundations for partnership and cooperation for making the emirate as a favorable startup destination.

Dubai Chamber’s Networking Series has attracted over 1,650 participants including entrepreneurs, startup founders and investors, throughout its five editions. Attendees came together to share their success stories, explore ways to overcome the prevailing challenges and further discussed the tools needed for business development, creating an environment for networking and building new relationships.
