Dubai’s hotel sector is preparing up for Expo 2020 Dubai, the world’s largest and most impactful event ever to take place in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region, which will run from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

With Expo 2020’s theme of ”Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, as well as one or more of its sub-themes of Opportunity, Mobility, and Sustainability, Dubai will welcome visitors from all over the world to participate in the creation of a new world, as it brings the entire world together in one place to reimagine tomorrow.

The hotel, travel, and tourist industries in the UAE have been working relentlessly to ensure that visitors to Expo have a safe, inspiring, and remarkable experience throughout the six-month global event.

According to Wego, a company that specializes in travel services and online reservations, many countries are looking forward to the opening of Expo 2020 Dubai. The company revealed that “it witnessed, through its website, about 533,000 searches during July, on flights and hotels for the period in which this event will be held.”

This reflects the rising demand in Dubai and the swift recovery of the corporate tourist industry, with hotels beginning to dedicate packages and extended stay offers exclusively for Expo 2020 Dubai visitors, as per the company.

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) has revealed that until May 2021, there were 128,545 hotel rooms in the emirate. There were 715 hotel establishments, including 134 five-star hotels.

According to the reports, “The Dubai hotel sector is building more hotels despite the challenge and impact of COVID-19 on global tourism and travel.”

Expo 2020 Dubai will be the world’s largest cultural gathering, with 182 days of exciting activities. “More than 200 entities will contribute to these experiences, including countries, multilateral organizations, companies, and educational institutions, as well as millions of visitors, to create a version that is the largest and most diverse,” as per the reports.
