The Oman-Tunisia Business Forum, organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), explored ways to expand economic and investment cooperation between the private sectors of the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Tunisia.
The Oman-Tunisia Business Forum highlighted new opportunities for partnerships and joint ventures across key sectors, including food industries, renewable energy, textiles, and agricultural development. It also facilitated direct business-to-business (B2B) meetings between entrepreneurs from both countries to strengthen trade ties and investment collaboration.
Boosting private sector partnerships
The Oman-Tunisia Business Forum was designed to connect business leaders and investors from Oman and Tunisia, enabling them to explore investment opportunities and build strategic partnerships that support greater economic integration.
Participants at the Oman-Tunisia Business Forum discussed potential cooperation models aimed at increasing bilateral trade, encouraging joint ventures, and enhancing private-sector-driven growth in both countries.
Rashid Amer Al Maslahi, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCCI, stated that the Oman-Tunisia Business Forum reflects the chamber’s commitment to strengthening economic and commercial cooperation between the private sectors of both nations. He noted that the forum provides a platform for direct dialogue between investors and business owners, helping translate strong diplomatic relations into sustainable economic partnerships.
Al Maslahi noted that Oman and Tunisia share long-standing relations built on mutual respect and understanding, with steady growth in cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade and investment.

Al Maslahi said that under Oman Vision 2040, Oman continues efforts to enhance economic competitiveness, diversify income sources, and improve the investment climate. He highlighted Tunisia’s expertise across several sectors, noting that both countries offer strong potential for developing high-value private sector partnerships.
He stressed that successful economic relations depend on strong business-to-business engagement, knowledge exchange, and long-term investment cooperation. Al Maslahi expressed hope that the Oman-Tunisia Business Forum would lead to new initiatives, joint projects, and expanded trade and investment flows, supporting sustainable development goals in both countries.
Tunisia highlights investment opportunities
Chiraz Chebbi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Oman, said the Oman-Tunisia Business Forum serves as an important platform to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation. She noted the participation of Tunisian business leaders representing key sectors, reflecting strong interest in expanding trade and investment ties with Oman.
Chebbi pointed out that the Tunisian delegation reviewed promising investment opportunities in Oman and emphasized the importance of stronger networking between business communities in both countries. She added that B2B meetings facilitated by OCCI are expected to support new partnerships and encourage continued exchange of trade delegations.
She further highlighted that Oman and Tunisia benefit from strategic geographic locations and strong logistics capabilities, offering opportunities in re-export activities and access to African, European, and Asian markets.

The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry also delivered an overview of its role in supporting international relations and improving the business environment in Oman. It highlighted initiatives aimed at easing business operations, attracting investment, and strengthening private sector competitiveness through economic partnerships.
The Oman-Tunisia Business Forum concluded with B2B meetings between Omani and Tunisian business representatives. Discussions focused on cooperation in food industries, renewable energy, textiles, and agriculture, aiming to expand investment partnerships and deepen economic integration between the two countries.
