TRUST, an entity of EDGE, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADG Mobility, a South African-based company specializing in the production of protected vehicles, subsystems, and components.
The agreement was announced during the Make It in the Emirates forum, taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 19 to 22 May.

Under the MoU, the two parties will establish a strategic framework for future collaboration on the design, development, and manufacturing of specialized land systems equipment, including specialized vehicles, in the UAE.
Further, this partnership aims to enhance the UAE’s defense capabilities by developing advanced land-based military platforms tailored to regional operational requirements. The collaboration underscores EDGE Group’s commitment to strengthening local defense industries and advancing technological innovation in military systems.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Jasem Alzaabi, Vice President of Business Development (Trading and Mission Support) – EDGE, and Dr. Stefan Nell, Chief Executive Officer of ADG Mobility, in the presence of Dr. Abdulmunem Alshehhi, Chief Operations Officer – TRUST, and Syed Haroon, Manager of Engineering and Development – TRUST.
According to the reports, this initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader strategy to bolster its defense sector through domestic manufacturing and technological advancements, ensuring greater self-reliance and operational effectiveness.
Earlier this month, EDGE partnered with innovation scale-up Wazoku to launch the Drone in a box challenge via the Wazoku Crowd platform to identify next-generation drone solutions.
As per the reports, Drone in a Box Challenge is open to innovators, startups, universities, and established organizations worldwide, and the application deadline is on 7 July 2025.
