HE Anwar Hilal Al Jabri, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, has received Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, at the ‘Invest in Oman’ lounge.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed existing cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus across economic, commercial, and investment fields, aiming to advance mutual interests and support economic growth.

They discussed opportunities to boost trade and emphasized developing integration mechanisms within supply chains, linking factories and companies through long-term supply contracts and production partnerships. The discussion included identifying inputs, intermediate materials, and industrial goods that can be exchanged or produced jointly, alongside promoting Omani exports to Belarus.

The parties also explored enhancing industrial cooperation, including the possibility of establishing joint industrial projects in priority sectors. Several officials from both sides attended the meeting.

Both parties stressed the importance of strengthening the role of businesspeople and the private sector by increasing regular trade and investment delegations. This aims to connect investors, manufacturers, and suppliers in sectors of mutual interest, bolstering economic partnerships and expanding opportunities for cooperation.

Notably, trade between Oman and Belarus reached approximately $974,480 (RO 374,800) in 2025, with Omani exports at about $712,920 (RO 274,200), re‑exports at around $223,860 (RO 86,100), and imports valued at roughly $37,440 (RO 14,400).

Belarusian investments in Oman totaled about $3,117,400 (RO 1.199 million), representing 96 percent of joint venture capital through 10 companies and 11 shareholders, concentrated in trade, ICT, financial services, and professional and technical activities.

Additionally, the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs and his delegation were briefed on the services and facilities provided by the Invest in Oman lounge, highlighting the supportive and stimulating business environment available to investors.
