Emirates has launched a Comprehensive Travel Cover product, developed in partnership with Travel Guard, to provide passengers with integrated travel insurance and disruption support services.

The product combines insurance coverage with airline-managed assistance in selected disruption scenarios.

The offering includes medical coverage, trip cancellation protection, baggage delay and loss compensation, emergency evacuation, and additional support for travel disruptions.

It also provides coverage for medical treatment in a range of circumstances, including conflict-related incidents, subject to policy terms.

Integrated travel protection and disruption support

Under the new arrangement, Emirates will provide additional operational support for affected passengers in cases of significant disruption. This includes hotel accommodation and extended-stay assistance where required, depending on the nature of the disruption.

In situations where itineraries involve connecting flights on other airlines, or when Emirates services are not available, passengers will be rebooked to their destination at no additional cost. This also applies in cases where flights are cancelled due to conflict-related disruption, subject to applicable conditions.

The airline stated that the product is designed to combine insurance coverage with airline support services, enabling passengers to access protection and assistance through a single framework from the time of booking.

Customer-focused insurance framework

Emirates mentioned that the introduction of the product is based on customer feedback regarding gaps in existing travel insurance coverage. The aim is to provide broader protection across a range of travel-related risks and operational disruptions.
