First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has launched the Jaywan Debit Card, issued under the UAE’s national card scheme managed by Al Etihad Payments and backed by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), as part of the country’s rollout of a domestic payments ecosystem.

The card is currently available for domestic use, offering customers a secure and efficient payment solution for everyday transactions, including payments at local merchant outlets, domestic online transactions on UAE-based platforms and cash withdrawals through ATMs across the country.

The Jaywan Debit Card is integrated with FAB’s digital banking ecosystem, allowing customers to manage their finances through the FAB Mobile app, including transaction monitoring, account management and digital servicing.

The card features advanced security measures, including 3D Secure authentication and Chip and PIN technology, supporting secure online and in-person payments. It also enables tokenized wallet integration through digital wallets, allowing customers to make secure digital payments through supported devices and platforms.

The Jaywan Debit Card is available to eligible FAB account holders. Existing customers can apply through the FAB Mobile app or at FAB branches, while new customers must open an eligible FAB account before applying. Elite and Private Banking clients can apply through their relationship managers.

The launch aligns with FAB’s efforts to support the UAE’s vision of strengthening the national payments ecosystem and enhancing national data sovereignty through secure, locally issued payment solutions.
