The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) has initiated the 10 Million Step Challenge as part of its 10th anniversary.

The Academy targets to include more participants in the ten-day event, who can influence their friends and family to be part of the challenge and contribute to attain the largest number of steps.

The FBMA challenge, considered as one of the most prominent events of this season, kicked off with more than 900 participants. The participants can record their steps virtually via different fitness applications and upload them in the link available on the Academy’s social media platforms as well as under the #WeCanDoIt handle.

The Academy encourages the public to walk and engage in this initiative alongside their daily life to reach the ten million steps in total from all participants.

With this challenge, FBMA aims to motivate residents of the UAE to be more fitness conscious by making it a part of their lifestyle.

The challenge has already created a positive wave in social media as the participants have started to share their step counts and experience to win the attractive prizes offered by the academy.

Nefeli Chondrogianni, Communication and Technical Affairs Manage stated that, “The organizing committee has set special criteria for winners in the challenge. Participants who will be able to reach 10,000 steps for ten consecutive days by either walking, running or even climbing stairs will automatically enter a draw to win several valuable prizes.”

The FBMA has introduced many programs that target to support the behavioral impact across the country, motivating physical activity and fitness at the community level.
