The first edition of the Festival of Health 2025 has commenced in Abu Dhabi, organized by the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi (DoH) and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), marking the emirate’s annual celebration of healthy living and wellbeing.
The Festival of Health 2025 is held in partnership with a diverse array of government bodies, private-sector organizations, community institutions, and educational partners.
The initiative is designed to inspire and encourage the community to adopt simple yet effective healthy habits, ultimately enhancing their overall quality of life and promoting long-term wellbeing.
The opening ceremony of Festival of Health 2025 was attended by Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of Abu Dhabi DoH, Dr. Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, along with a number of senior officials, partners and representatives from supporting entities.
The Festival of Health 2025 is fully aligned with the newly approved ‘Healthy Living Strategy’, which establishes a comprehensive framework aimed at making healthy living more accessible and achievable for everyone in society, regardless of age or background.
The festival will take place across all three regions of the emirate:
- 12–16 December on Al Hudayriyat Island in Abu Dhabi
- 19–21 December at Madinat Zayed Public Park in Al Dhafra
- 26–28 December at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain.
The event is expected to draw more than 30,000 visitors and will showcase over 140 diverse activities, designed to motivate both citizens and residents to adopt positive and sustainable lifestyle changes.
Spanning over multiple regions across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Festival of Health 2025 transforms public spaces into vibrant, interactive platforms that celebrate health, encourage positive lifestyle choices, and reinforce Abu Dhabi’s vision of health as a collective responsibility for both current and future generations.

Designed as an inclusive community-wide movement, the Festival of Health 2025 welcomes people of all ages and abilities, including families, youth, older adults and people of determination. Through evidence-based workshops, cooking demonstrations, fitness sessions, mindfulness programs, competitions and family-friendly activities, visitors will be inspired to take small, achievable steps that lead to sustainable behavioral change and a healthier lifestyle.
The Festival of Health 2025 forms part of ADPHC’s year-round programming to reinforce healthy habits, encourage regular screenings, promote physical activity and support preventive practices that contribute to building a healthier Abu Dhabi.
