The Abu Dhabi Biobank, a strategic initiative between the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi (DoH) and global health group M42, has partnered with BioTwin to deploy AI-based Virtual Human Twin technology to strengthen early disease detection, prevention and precision health in the Emirate.

The announcement was made on the sidelines of the BIO International Convention 2026 in San Diego, USA. The collaboration combines BioTwin’s longitudinal biomarker platform and Virtual Human Twin technology with Abu Dhabi Biobank’s capability to integrate biological data with genomic, clinical and AI-driven insights.

The aim is to decode complex diseases, accelerate clinical research, and shift healthcare delivery from reactive to proactive models. The initial focus of the partnership will be multi-cancer screening, with broader applications expected across preventive health, health optimization and personalized care.

Abu Dhabi has positioned itself as a regional hub for health innovation, genomics, biobanking, advanced clinical infrastructure and real-world medical research. The new collaboration is expected to strengthen this ecosystem by enabling a scalable model for early detection and preventive precision health.

The partnership is expected to unlock future clinical, operational and commercial deployment opportunities in Abu Dhabi, beginning with early detection and expanding into preventive health, health optimization and personalized medicine applications.

BioTwin’s platform integrates home-based dried blood spot collection, multi-biomarker analysis and AI-enabled Human Virtual Twin modelling to generate longitudinal insights into individual health trajectories.
