Great Success; DUPHAT 2022 marks notable deals worth $1.3bln

The 27th edition of the Dubai International Pharmaceutical & Technologies Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT 2022), the biggest pharmaceutical event in the Middle East, generated exceptional direct and indirect business deals worth $1.38 billion in pharmacy-related sectors.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Center, DUPHAT 2022 was featured the participation of several doctors, pharmacists and regional and international speakers. Leading pharmaceutical companies around the world also participated in the event, which showcased the latest technological advancement in the region.

The volume of deals recorded at DUPHAT reflects the event’s success in providing a platform to showcase the latest innovations in the pharmaceutical industry and build partnerships that benefit the entire sector. It also shows Dubai’s role in increasing growth and accelerating global economic recovery, and provides opportunities for professionals from different sectors to exchange knowledge and expertise in a safe environment.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of DUPHAT and Chairman of INDEX Holding, remarked that “The deals recorded at DUPHAT’s 27th edition reflect the UAE’s role in leading the economic recovery and its ability to provide opportunities for growth across different sectors. This year, we have given participants the opportunity to meet new clients, suppliers, and manufacturers in the industry to build partnerships and strong long-term business networks.”

Dr. Al Madani added that many exhibitors have already booked their attendance at the event’s next edition.

Organized over an area of 30,000 square meters, the event hosted more than 22,000 visitors and participants from 82 countries. The event featured 140 speakers who shared their insights in 112 scientific sessions focusing on key issues and developments in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the event saw 330 presentations and various workshops to discuss the latest scientific research in the pharmaceutical sector.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee of DUPHAT honored the companies with excellent exhibition and best service presentation, best representative exhibition of a nation, best speaker and best researcher. The winners of the scientific poster competition were also announced along with the students who win the student competitions. The event’s supporting partners were also honored for their efforts that led to the success of the event.

MENA’s largest gathering of the entire pharmaceutical value chain from suppliers, manufacturers, distributors to pharmacists, discussed many key topics, including the latest developments and strategies that are shaping the future of the industry, the proper use of medication, the role of clinical pharmacists during the pandemic, the correct ways to store medicines and more.
