Gulf Bank has reinforced its commitment to women’s empowerment through a series of new initiatives under its flagship Women of Wisdom (WOW) program, aiming to enhance professional and personal development for female employees across the organization.
Key sessions included ‘The Elegant Power: How Women Lead with Strength and Warmth’, held at the Bank’s training center in Crystal Tower. Led by organizational psychologist and executive coach Dina Al-Waheab, the session explored how women can lead effectively by balancing assertiveness with warmth.
Participants examined the psychological and physiological aspects influencing female leadership styles, including workplace pressures, mental health, and hormone-related challenges. The session also introduced practical tools to help boost confidence and leadership presence.
Another major highlight of the WOW program was ‘Speak Your Brand’, a personal branding workshop conducted by coach and consultant Rehab Al-Tawari.
The session focused on helping early-career employees shape their professional identities, align values with career aspirations, and communicate with greater clarity and confidence. It saw strong participation from employees across multiple departments.
Complementing the development-focused sessions, Gulf Bank introduced a wellness initiative under the WOW program, titled ‘Her Balance’, targeting the overall well-being of female employees.
This program offers regular Pilates Reformer and Barre sessions, encouraging work-life balance while promoting mental and physical wellness. The wellness initiative also provides a platform for team building and cross-departmental engagement, further strengthening inclusion and positivity within the workplace.
Launched in 2017, the WOW program is one of Gulf Bank’s key internal initiatives supporting women’s growth in leadership and career development. It regularly features monthly discussions and sessions focused on work-life balance, self-development, and leadership empowerment.
Mr. Hamed AlTamimi, Assistant General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank, emphasized the significance of the WOW program in nurturing a workplace where employees feel recognized and inspired. He noted that the initiatives align with Gulf Bank’s broader strategy to foster a diverse, inclusive, and balanced work environment that promotes productivity and job satisfaction.
Through the WOW program, Gulf Bank continues to build a sustainable corporate culture that supports women’s aspirations, strengthens leadership potential, and enhances employee engagement across all levels of the organization.
