Jazeera Airways has successfully established a critical supply chain corridor into Kuwait through Qaisumah Airport (AQI) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The airline successfully transported its inaugural shipment of 4.5 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables from Chennai, India, to Kuwait through a coordinated air-and-land operation, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential goods amid regional logistical challenges.

Ensuring steady supply of essential goods

The shipment was flown into Qaisumah Airport and then transported overland into Kuwait, ensuring timely delivery of perishable goods despite airspace and operational constraints.

This initiative builds on Jazeera Airways’ efforts to maintain vital connectivity for Kuwait, extending beyond passenger services to support critical supply chains that sustain daily life.

Fresh produce, with its limited shelf life, demands precise handling and fast execution. Jazeera Airways’ successful delivery highlights its operational agility and its commitment to national priorities during challenging times.

“In the current environment, connectivity is not only about moving people; it is also about ensuring the continued flow of essential goods into Kuwait. Establishing this supply chain corridor via Qaisumah allows us to support the national food reserves at this critical time. This is a responsibility we have embraced as Kuwait’s national carrier and one we will continue to build on. We are especially thankful for the ongoing support from the government entities both in Kuwait and KSA for helping facilitate this effort.”

The corridor addresses immediate supply needs while laying the foundation for a more flexible and responsive logistics network in the future.

The operation required close coordination with multiple stakeholders in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and India, including aviation authorities, customs officials, ground handling teams, and logistics partners.

From the moment the cargo departed Chennai to its final delivery in Kuwait, the process was executed with strict timelines to preserve freshness and quality.
