Jazeera Airways has announced the resumption of three weekly flights to Dhaka, restoring a critical air link between Kuwait and Bangladesh and positioning itself as the sole carrier currently operating on the route.

The service provides a critical lifeline for passengers seeking to reunite with families, return to work, or undertake urgent travel.

His Excellency Major General Syed Tareq Hussain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kuwait, commented that, “We sincerely appreciate Jazeera Airways for relaunching flights between Kuwait and Dhaka during this challenging period. This initiative provides vital support to the Bangladeshi community in Kuwait, enabling many to reunite with their families, return home, or travel for essential needs. We also commend the cooperation between the authorities in Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in facilitating this important connectivity, which reflects a shared commitment to supporting people and maintaining strong bilateral ties.”

Flights are being operated via King Fahad International Airport in Dammam, one of the airline’s dual operational bases in Saudi Arabia.

The airline has utilized its dual-base strategy in Dammam and Qaisumah to implement an integrated model combining air and overland transport, enhancing flexibility and ensuring sustained connectivity.

“The relaunch of Dhaka marks an important step in restoring connectivity to Bangladesh and supporting a key community in Kuwait. As the only airline currently operating between Kuwait and Dhaka, we are enabling a critical link at a time when travel remains challenging. Beyond passenger travel, this route also supports the movement of essential goods, reinforcing our role in keeping Kuwait connected and supplied. We remain focused on ensuring continuity, reliability, and accessibility across our network, and we are grateful for the support of authorities in Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in enabling these operations.”

Beyond passenger services, the Dhaka route plays a key role in supporting trade flows. As a major commercial hub in South Asia, Dhaka enables the movement of essential goods into Kuwait, contributing to the resilience of supply chains during a period of disruption.
