Kuwait will host the 5th General Assembly meeting of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) on 4-5 February 2026.
The two-day event represents the organization’s most significant annual gathering, aimed at strengthening international cooperation and launching impactful initiatives in the digital economy.
The ministers from member, observer, and partner countries, as well as policymakers, chief executive officers, innovators, and representatives from over 60 countries, are expected to participate in the meeting, contributing to the shaping of the global digital agenda.
“Kuwait’s hosting of the 5th DCO General Assembly, alongside the second International Digital Cooperation Forum, marks a pivotal moment in the journey of global digital cooperation and a major milestone in the organization’s collective efforts. She noted that the meeting will provide an opportunity to review the achievements of 2025, strengthen partnerships, and formulate a unified vision for the future of digital cooperation amid rapid and unprecedented global digital transformations.”
AlYahya emphasized that member states share a strong conviction that digital prosperity must be accessible to all, underscoring the importance of cross-border, cross-sector, and institutional cooperation.
Furthermore, she explained that the theme of this year’s General Assembly, “Inclusive Prosperity in the Age of AI,” reflects a shared responsibility to ensure that the transformative impact of artificial intelligence benefits all countries, institutions, and individuals, turning innovation into a driver of opportunity, resilience, and shared prosperity without leaving anyone behind.
DCO Forum to Address Key Digital Issues with Global Leaders
Held concurrently with the General Assembly, the second edition of the International Digital Cooperation Forum will bring together ministers, executives, business leaders, and senior representatives of international organizations.
The forum will feature plenary sessions, side events, workshops, and high-level dialogues focusing on artificial intelligence, digital trade, cross-border digital infrastructure, skills sharing, technology safety and ethics, and sustainable digital transformation.
More than 100 stakeholders from various sectors and partner organizations are expected to participate, fostering collaboration and facilitating the exchange of expertise and best practices in support of inclusive and sustainable digital growth.
