The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat) has introduced an initiative to encourage investment in educational facilities, forming partnerships with digital rental platforms across the Kingdom through signed memoranda of understanding.

Saudi Arabia is making significant strides in supporting the education sector through various initiatives. By signing memoranda of understanding with these platforms, Saudi Arabia is paving the way for innovative solutions in the education sector, supporting both students and educational institutions.

These efforts align with the nation’s broader vision to modernize and improve its education system as part of its ongoing development goals.

Within three months, the initiative targets connecting around 100 educational facilities and facilitating nearly 200 rental transactions which will maximize the use of private school facilities outside school hours, automate rentals, create market opportunities, and enhance facility quality for various educational settings, including private, international, early-childhood, kindergarten, and special-education schools.

The initiative provides free services for displaying and managing educational facility rental operations through partner platforms for a full year, contributing to supporting educational, cultural, and sports activities, and enhancing the role of educational facilities in serving the community. It also contributes to increasing the return on investment in educational assets for private schools.

The private school facilities, including sports halls, labs, courtyards, theaters, libraries, classrooms, and unused spaces, are available for educational, cultural, sports, and recreational activities.

According to the statement, the initiative aligns with the Ministry of Education’s decision to empower private schools to utilize their facilities outside school hours and holidays, offering training, enrichment, cultural, and sports programs for students and the community.
