The Bahrain National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Bahrain Polytechnic have signed a cooperation framework on cybersecurity.
The agreement focuses on developing national talent and strengthening cybersecurity awareness, education, and expertise to support Bahrain’s digital transformation.
The cooperation framework was signed by Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chief Executive of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Polytechnic.
The framework seeks to enhance collaboration between the two organizations across a range of cybersecurity fields, including the coordination of academic plans, educational programs, and specialized curricula that align with Bahrain’s strategic objectives and labor market requirements.
It reflects the shared commitment of both parties to establishing a sustainable institutional partnership that supports the Kingdom’s national cybersecurity priorities.
Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chief Executive of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), said that the cooperation framework reflects the Centre’s commitment to partnering with academic institutions to develop national talent, strengthen academia-industry collaboration, and support Bahrain’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
Shaikh Salman added that the partnership supports the development and publication of specialized cybersecurity awareness and educational content across various platforms, contributing to greater public awareness of cybersecurity.

The partnership includes the joint organization of events, workshops, and training programs aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of students, academic staff, and members of the wider community.
Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Polytechnic, remarked that the partnership reflects the institution’s commitment to advancing practical and applied education while supporting future-focused disciplines.
Under the cooperation framework, the National Cyber Security Centre and Bahrain Polytechnic will collaborate on academic planning, curriculum development, scientific research, cybersecurity awareness initiatives, knowledge exchange and professional development activities.
