The National Development Fund (NDF) has joined forces with Google Cloud to accelerate its digital transformation, focusing on strengthening its cloud infrastructure and enhancing its overall technical environment.

This collaboration aims to bolster NDF’s efforts in improving operational readiness and digital service efficiency, supporting its ongoing drive for innovation and technology enablement across its operations.

Through this partnership, the National Development Fund is set to advance its digital capabilities, aligning with its strategic goals of strengthening the nation’s development framework.

The partnership comes as part of the NDF’s commitment to adopting a “Cloud First” approach and strengthening its technological readiness by migrating its systems and information-technology (IT) infrastructure to Google Cloud services.

The move is expected to enhance the flexibility, security, and operational efficiency of its digital platforms, while improving performance and optimizing costs by leveraging Google Cloud’s advanced cloud technologies and cloud region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The signing ceremony, held on the sidelines of the Google Cloud Summit Saudi Arabia, was attended by representatives from both the National Development Fund (NDF) and Google Cloud. The agreement was signed on behalf of the NDF by chief operating officer Sara Nugali and on behalf of Google Cloud by general manager Bader AlMadi.

The agreement aims to strengthen the strategic collaboration between both parties and expand the use of Google Cloud’s capabilities in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and advanced digital services.

According to the statement, this aligns with the NDF’s digital transformation objectives and contributes to supporting the Kingdom’s sustainable development journey in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
