The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and NWTN, a mobility technology company that provides passenger-centric mobility and green energy solutions based in Dubai, have signed an agreement to provide job opportunities for National talent while developing the emirate’s automotive industry and sustainable economy.
NWTN plans to build an integrated production line and expand its factory in Abu Dhabi in line with the highest industrial and sustainability standards. The Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), ADDED’s arm to develop the industrial sector, and NWTN will cooperate to provide training and professional development opportunities to Nationals, ensuring their successful integration into NWTN group companies.
The two parties will also accelerate the development of a modern automotive industry, foster an innovation community to contribute to automotive technology, and strengthen the green economy’s frameworks.
They will explore cooperation opportunities in advanced technologies, innovation, creativity, and research and development (R&D) in the transportation industry, which is one of the subsectors targeted by the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy.
The signing ceremony of the agreement was signed by Eng. Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director of Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), and Mr. Mohammad Rashid Al Hafi from NWTN in the presence of His Excellency Rashed Abdulkarim Al Blooshi, Undersecretary of ADDED.

The agreement is part of ADDED’s initiatives to deliver the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy, which was launched in June 2022 to strengthen the emirate’s position as the region’s most competitive industrial hub.
