UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) , in Abu Dhabi during a working visit, with both sides focusing on strengthening economic and investment cooperation under their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The two leaders reviewed opportunities to expand collaboration in key economic sectors, including investment, technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, sustainability, infrastructure and culture.
They also noted the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Greece, underscoring growing bilateral economic engagement.
During the meeting, the two sides witnessed the exchange of a memorandum of understanding between the UAE and Greece on cooperation in artificial intelligence and technology. The MoU was exchanged on behalf of the UAE by Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and on behalf of Greece by George Gerapetritis, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The UAE President and the Greek Prime Minister also discussed regional and international security developments and their implications for stability.
Mitsotakis reiterated Greece’s condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and other countries in the region, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law that undermine regional peace and security.

The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Also in attendance were HH Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Authority for People of Determination, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with ministers, officials and members of the visiting Greek delegation.
