Oman Ministry signs deals for 2 integrated residential projects worth $415mn

Oman Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has signed agreements to support the development of two new integrated residential neighborhoods at Halban and Al Amerat at a total cost of $415 million (RO 160 million).

The pacts are part of a raft of agreements signed by Dr. Khalfan bin Said al Shueili, Oman’s Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.

According to the statement, “As part of the agreements, a number of integrated service stations and a new electronic real estate platform will be established as well.”

The first integrated residential neighborhood will come up in the Wilayat of Al Amerat in the Governorate of Muscat with a total area of 445,823 square meters. Offering 1,050 housing units, the $155 million (RO 60 million) project will be constructed over seven years in 3 stages.

The second Souroh project will come up at Halban in the Wilayat of Nakhal (Halban) in the Governorate of South Al Batinah. Covering an area of 637,044, it will offer 1,350 housing units. It will be built with an investment of $259 million (RO 100 million) in four stages over eight years.

“Both projects have multiple housing options including detached villas, attached villas, semi-detached villas, and apartments. Other services will be available such as a mosque, a commercial area, and green spaces, in addition to infrastructure works related to basic public services,” as per the statement.

The Ministry has also offered several sites under the Souroh program in each of the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah in the Wilayat of Sur (Nesma), in the Governorate of South Al Batinah in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq (Al Hazm), in the Governorate of North Al Batinah in the Wilayat of Suhar (Muwaileh), in the Governorate of Dhofar in the Wilayat of Salalah (North Sahanout) and the Governorate of Musandam in the Wilayat of Khasab.
