Oman’s Mahas Industrial City inks deal to establish feed packaging factory

Oman’s Mahas Industrial City has signed a contract with Hassan Al Qaishi Trading Establishment in order to set up a factory for the packaging of feed products.

The new feed packaging factory will be established on an area of ​​6,000 square meters in the Wilayat of Khasab in Musandam governorate.

According to the statement, “Mahas, part of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), will have three main lines for production and packaging of the products.”

Furthermore, the project will adopt cutting-edge technology and machinery in the production and packaging processes.

Established in 2017, Mahas Industrial City is the latest addition to the expanding chain of national industrial parks administered by Madayn.

As per the company statement, “The establishment of the Mahas Industrial City came out of the high interest and directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in order to accelerate the economic and industrial development and attract local and foreign investments to Musandam Governorate.”

Further, Madayn’s industrial city intends to attract investments, create job opportunities, enhance the local added value and support the food security system in the Musandam governorate.

Earlier this year, Madayn unveiled an $11.7 million Facility Building and Masar Service Centre in Samail Industrial City.

The 16,000 sqm structure consists of 8 floors with a rental area exceeding 12,000 sqm and the building will offer space dedicated to public and private bodies, commercial stores, banks, cafes and restaurants, food court, telecom companies, among other services.
