Ooredoo and Tamimah Digital, a digital company managing the online marketplace, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a business-to-business (B2B) e-marketplace.

The first eCommerce platform of its kind will showcase products and services offered by small and medium enterprises, companies, and government entities for a business customer base in Oman.

Saied Al Lawati, Director of Business Marketing at Ooredoo, said that, “As we drive the digital transformation of Oman, we are pleased to be able to partner with Tamimah Digital, as eCommerce platforms have become incredibly popular in the B2B arena.”

“Buyers consider online marketplaces an efficient platform for researching and comparing products and services and making corporate purchases, based on the best pricing over traditional quotes. Meanwhile, such a platform allows sellers to reach new audiences in Oman and beyond,” Al Lawati added.

Shafeeq Rahman, Director of Tamimah Digital, commented that, “We are thrilled to announce the collaboration between Bawwaba, powered by Tamimah Digital, and Ooredoo. This partnership aims to leverage our expertise in the field to contribute to the growth of Oman’s digital transformation journey. We are on the verge of becoming the primary provider of online B2C, B2B, and B2G platforms, connecting sellers and buyers digitally.”

The Tamimah Digital Director further noted that, “This marks the introduction of the first-ever marketplace platform in Oman, which will connect numerous SMEs and Omani entrepreneurs, enabling them to scale up their businesses. We also have ambitious plans to expand our services globally, facilitating Omani ventures in reaching a worldwide audience. With Ooredoo as our partner, we believe this marks the beginning of a new era of ‘Digital Growth Together’.”
