Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has signed a strategic contract with Abraj Energy Services to provide hydraulic fracturing services, aimed at improving hydrocarbon recovery, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting local content in Oman’s energy sector.
Hydraulic fracturing is a key component of PDO’s upstream operations, enabling the company to optimize production from complex reservoirs and enhance the recovery of hydrocarbon resources.
The new agreement is expected to support these objectives through the deployment of advanced technologies and service capabilities.
Under the contract, Abraj Energy Services will utilize modern hydraulic fracturing techniques, including enhanced proppant systems and gel-based solutions, to deliver efficient and performance-driven operations aligned with PDO’s production requirements.
The collaboration is part of PDO’s broader strategy to strengthen operational efficiency while maximizing value from existing assets through technology adoption and improved field performance.
