Qatar Airways has expanded its American network with the launch of new flight operations to Caracas and Bogota beginning July 22, 2026, strengthening air connectivity between the Middle East and Latin America.

The airline said that the new services will make Qatar Airways the first Gulf carrier to operate flights to Venezuela and the first airline from West Asia to serve Caracas and Bogotá directly.

The move forms part of the airline’s broader plan to expand international connectivity and strengthen its presence across the Americas.

Qatar Airways will operate two weekly flights on the route, offering passengers improved access between South America, the Middle East, and Asia through its hub at Hamad International Airport.

The schedule has been designed to provide seamless onward connections to key destinations, including Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the airline, the addition of Caracas and Bogota increases its Americas network to 16 destinations, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy in international markets.

Qatar Airways first entered the South American market in 2010 with services to São Paulo, Brazil, and has steadily expanded its footprint in the region over the past decade.

The airline stated that growing demand for global transit connectivity and rising commercial links between the Gulf region and Latin America continue to support network expansion opportunities.

Industry analysts also view the new routes as strategically important for improving travel options between South America and Asia, a market traditionally dominated by European and North American transit hubs.

Qatar Airways highlighted that the new operations will further strengthen the role of Doha as a major global aviation hub while supporting passenger and business travel across emerging international markets.

The carrier is continuing to rebuild and expand its global network, which is expected to exceed 160 destinations during the summer 2026 schedule.
