Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani and Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan Mr. Laziz Kudratov have discussed investment and commercial cooperation and the means to enhance the trade exchange between both countries.
They also discussed the investment climate on both sides and the attractive sectors for investment and the possibility to enhance the mutual investments and establish commercial partnerships between the private sectors in both countries.
For his part, Sheikh Khalifa praised the close relations between both countries, noting that there is a joint desire to develop their commercial and economic cooperation.
Sheikh Khalifa said that “Qatar Chamber encourages Qatari businessmen to explore the investment climate and opportunities available in Uzbekistan in many sectors such as agriculture, mining, and energy.”
In his turn, Mr. Kudratov lauded the distinct relations between both countries and their interest to enhance these relations in various sectors.
The Uzbekistan Minister reviewed the investment climate in his country and the positive developments it endorsed over the past few years, indicating that there a number of large companies from different countries began to come to Uzbekistan and invest in various sectors.
Mr. Kudratov stated that “his visit to Qatar to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment fields between both countries, calling on Qatari businessmen to invest in Uzbekistan and indicated that there are a host of investment opportunities in many sectors like infrastructure, mining, oil, and gas, energy, renewable energy, agriculture, and food security.”
The Uzbekistan Minister called to organize a joint businessmen forum, whether in Qatar or in Uzbekistan to review the investment opportunities available on both sides and discuss facilitating the mutual investments that contribute to developing the commercial cooperation between both countries.
