Qatar’s QIB expands Direct Remit service to Philippines & Pakistan

Qatar’s leading digital bank, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has expanded its Direct Remit service to the Philippines and Pakistan, allowing customers to make smooth transactions in seconds.

The Direct Remit is an innovative service designed to make QIB customers’ remittance experience easier by allowing them to transfer money to bank accounts within 60 seconds. The QIB Mobile App has been carefully connected with the Direct Remit service to give users the convenience of transferring money instantaneously in a fast and secure manner.

According to the reports, the move follows the successful launch of this service in India. Further, QIB has broadened their global offer and has followed a similar methodology for the service expansion to the Philippines and Pakistan.

“QIB partnered with BDO Unibank for the Philippines holding more 1,100 Branches and more than 3,800 ATMs and for Pakistan with Habib Bank LTD which has 1,650+ branches and 2,100+ ATMs across the country and globally,” as per the statement.

As per the company, “Customers can login to the QIB Mobile App and select their desired destination to add the beneficiary they want to send money to.” Using the Transfers feature, they can select an approved beneficiary to send the transaction for instant processing.

“The submitted transaction can be tracked for the status at any time, from anywhere in the world within 60 seconds and receive instant updates on the status of their transactions via SMS,” according to the statement.
