Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have explored avenues to further strengthen and elevate their strategic partnership, signaling a continued commitment to deepening bilateral ties.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at Mina Palace, where the two leaders held wide-ranging talks.

They exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The meeting highlighted the longstanding relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and discussed means to strengthen cooperation across various domains. They also addressed regional developments and efforts to promote security and stability.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan share a multifaceted and time-tested relationship rooted in historical, religious, cultural, and strategic ties. Over the decades, this bilateral partnership has evolved into a comprehensive alliance, marked by mutual trust, deep cooperation, and shared interests in regional and global affairs.

According to the reports, from political solidarity to economic collaboration and defense cooperation, Saudi-Pakistani relations continue to play a vital role in shaping the geopolitical landscape of South Asia and the Middle East.

Economic cooperation forms a crucial pillar of the bilateral relationship. Saudi Arabia is a significant source of financial aid and investment for Pakistan. Over the years, the Kingdom has provided Pakistan with economic assistance in the form of oil supply on deferred payment, direct financial support, and development grants.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has expressed interest in large-scale investments in Pakistan’s energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors, according to the news reports.
