Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched the third phase of its Technology Adoption Initiative (AdopTech), a program designed to accelerate the use of advanced technologies across key sectors.

This phase supports the implementation of 15 innovative projects that demonstrate real-world applications of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies in major industrial and logistics facilities.

The initiative is designed to foster an operational environment conducive to innovation and accelerate the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

According to the statement, the move is part of the Kingdom’s broader push to accelerate digital transformation and enhance operational efficiency in strategic industries.

This phase of the initiative focuses on empowering technology companies and entrepreneurs to provide innovative solutions that address real-world operational challenges in targeted sectors.

Proof-of-concept projects will be implemented in collaboration with selected industrial and logistics facilities, further promoting the use of technology to enhance business efficiency and boost the competitiveness of vital economic sectors.

The initiative aims to enhance partnerships between the public and private sectors in developing and implementing digital solutions.

It offers a dynamic environment for participants to test and refine their technology solutions in practical settings, thereby improving their readiness for broader deployment and market growth.

AdopTech initiative

AdopTech, which is part of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), aims to enhance productivity, reduce operational costs, and foster innovation by bridging the gap between technology providers and private-sector users.

The initiative targets companies across the Kingdom, including SMEs and startups, and focuses on integrating tools such as AI, IoT, robotics, and data analytics to modernize industrial operations.
