The Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UAQ Chamber) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thumbay University Hospital, creating a strategic partnership between the Emirate’s business and healthcare sectors.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration in healthcare services, knowledge exchange, and community-focused initiatives designed to benefit Chamber members and the wider Umm Al Quwain community.
The partnership underscores the growing recognition that accessible, high-quality healthcare plays a critical role in fostering economic growth and improving quality of life.
The MoU was signed by HE Ahmed Obaid Ibrahim Al Ali, Director General of the Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Vice President of Thumbay Healthcare, in the presence of officials from both organizations.
HE Ahmed Obaid Ibrahim Al Ali highlighted that, “Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and their well-being matters as much as their business success. This partnership with Thumbay University Hospital provides them and their families with access to trusted healthcare services closer to home. It also reflects the Chamber’s broader mission—not only to support commerce and industry but also to contribute to enhancing the quality of life across Umm Al Quwain.”
Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on developing exclusive healthcare benefits for Chamber members, facilitating the exchange of expertise between the economic and healthcare sectors, and advancing initiatives that support the Emirate’s long-term development goals. Both parties emphasized their intention to expand the scope of cooperation over time by identifying new opportunities where their capabilities and objectives align.
