The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has established a new industrial Saudi ‘non-profit association’ aimed at enhancing research and innovation, empowering talents in the industrial sector, and supporting sustainability and efficiency.

The Saudi non-profit association aligns with the ministry’s commitment to supporting non-profit organizations in the industrial and mining sectors, recognizing their crucial role in driving economic and social development.

As per the statement, the Saudi non-profit association will raise awareness of industrial opportunities, provide essential resources, and organize workshops to develop skills. It will also support innovative solutions and research best practices.

Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by ambitious economic diversification efforts under Vision 2030. The government has implemented a range of initiatives to localize manufacturing, attract foreign investment, and develop industrial infrastructure across the Kingdom.

As a result, the number of licensed factories has increased steadily, contributing to job creation, technology transfer, and non-oil GDP growth.

Strategic focus areas such as mining, petrochemicals, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy have positioned the Kingdom as a competitive industrial hub in the region.

According to the statement, this growth is further underpinned by a series of strategic regulatory reforms aimed at streamlining licensing procedures, improving the ease of doing business, and enhancing transparency across the industrial landscape. In parallel, the government has introduced a wide array of financial incentives, including low-interest loans, grants, tax exemptions, and public-private partnership opportunities to attract both local and foreign investors.

This establishment of Saudi non-profit association reflects the ministry’s efforts to strengthen the non-profit sector’s contributions to the industry and mining sectors, positively impacting the national economy’s GDP in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
