The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) is set to launch an exciting three-day initiative aimed at promoting winter tourism in the rural areas of Saudi Arabia.

This initiative will highlight the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Saudi countryside during the winter season, offering a unique opportunity to experience the serene landscapes and vibrant traditions of the region.

As part of an ongoing commitment to promote rural tourism across the Kingdom, the three-day initiative aims to not only attract visitors to the rural areas but also to foster long-term growth for the local economy.

Saudi Reef Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication Majed Al-Buraikan stated that the initiative aims to support rural communities and highlight Madinah’s diverse tourism, rural, and farming assets.

He added that the initiative will enhance the visitor experience by offering a unique opportunity to enjoy the countryside in a distinctive winter atmosphere. It will feature a wide range of local goods, including fresh fruits, honey, essential oils, and handicraft products.

According to the statement, visitors can also explore restaurants and cafés inspired by the rural environment and participate in tourism and entertainment experiences that showcase Saudi Arabia’s rich rural culture.

The initiative is also expected to boost eco-tourism, encouraging travelers to enjoy the scenic beauty of the area while supporting sustainable farming and rural development.
