Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser has met with several international ministers in bilateral meetings to enhance cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics services.

Eng. Al-Jasser met with Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkiye Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Minister of Transport and Aviation of Sierra Leone Hajji Vanday Toray and Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments of Djibouti Moumin Hassan Barreh.

During the visit, the ministers had the opportunity to tour the transportation and logistics system’s media center in Mina. There, they were briefed on the center’s mechanism in keeping visitors and media professionals informed about the system, including the latest news and updates for the Hajj season 1445 AH, as well as views of the cutting-edge technology the center has used to assist pilgrims.

Saudi Arabia inaugurated a pilotless air taxi service for use by pilgrims traveling within the kingdom for this year’s Hajj.

The self-driving vehicles will ferry pilgrims between holy sites, deliver goods and help with transfers during medical emergencies.

Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser said the service is the world’s first pilotless air taxi service to be licensed by a civil aviation authority.
