Saudi’s MATARAT Holding unveils initiative to offer media support services

Saudi Arabia-based closed joint-stock company MATARAT Holding Company has launched media center in Terminal 1 at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah to facilitate the work of local and international media outlets.

The media center’s work is centered on offering media support services, that includes daily information and figures about Hajj pilgrimage activities and the services at the airport.

The center works to provide local and international media outlets with media content in addition to providing its services to journalists inside and outside the Kingdom who wish to cover the arrival and departure of pilgrims at the airport’s terminals.

The media center also launched a virtual media center, through which it provides journalists with the ability to register and download media content daily.

According to a recent official report, “Occupying an area of 99,000 square meters within Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz International Airport, Al-Haramain train station stands as the world’s largest terminal connected to an airport.”

The airport’s station is part of the terminal stations of Al-Haramain express project, which also include Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah and Rabigh’s King Abdullah Economic City.

MATARAT Holding is a property of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) that has been forging the transformation of the Airports industry since its inception on the 13th of April, 2013 under Royal Decree No. (78/M).

The company intends to facilitate and oversee the development of Saudi airports by adopting best-in-class Private Sector Participation (PSP) models and attracting local as well as international investors.
