Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed the operation of electricity and water distribution networks in the Al Muhtadi neighbourhood, Phase 3, in Wadi Al Helo.
The authority has also successfully connected all electricity and water services to the residential complex, ensuring that every home is fully equipped with reliable power and water facilities, ready for immediate occupancy and daily use.
A specialised SEWA team was also assigned to personally register electricity and water service accounts under the names of the beneficiaries during the key handover ceremony, ensuring a smooth transition of services and providing residents with full access to their newly connected utilities.
Engineer Yousif Al Hammadi, Director of the Kalba Department at SEWA, stated that the authority is continuously working to strengthen the electrical infrastructure while providing sustainable and reliable power services. He emphasized that these efforts are designed to meet the current needs of residents, support future development projects, and adhere to the highest quality, safety, and operational standards set by SEWA.
The project involved the construction of an 11kV distribution substation, the installation of five distribution boxes, and the laying of one kilometre of medium-voltage cables alongside 1,920 metres of low-voltage cables to ensure a robust and reliable electricity network.
In addition, SEWA completed the water supply network using high-specification GRE pipes and installed, tested, and activated electricity and water meters for every home in the neighbourhood, providing residents with fully operational and ready-to-use utility services.
