Trinasolar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Al-Raebi for Trading and Solar Energy Systems Company to explore the development of a potential 1.5 GW solar project pipeline in Yemen between 2026 and 2029.
The agreement will see the two companies assess opportunities for large-scale solar projects in Yemen and the wider Middle East, supporting growing demand for clean and affordable energy.
Under the MoU, the companies will evaluate the potential deployment of Trinasolar’s latest TOPCon 3.0 photovoltaic modules for utility-scale and large commercial solar projects across Yemen and the region.
The MoU establishes a framework for further discussions on project opportunities, technical requirements and future cooperation models as both companies explore expanding access to reliable solar power in Yemen.
The partnership reflects their shared commitment to supporting the country’s renewable energy sector amid increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions.
The companies stated that these large-scale solar projects are expected to play an increasingly important role in addressing Yemen’s rising electricity demand and strengthening energy infrastructure.
