The Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services has inaugurated the first digital employee at the Saudi Ground Services (SGS) Company.

Designed to enhance the company’s operational efficiency, the digital employee aligns with Saudi Vision 2030.

The digital employee was inaugurated by Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, in the presence of attendees such as, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej and SGS’s Chief Executive Mohammed Mazi.

This initiative supports Saudi Ground Services’s digital transformation strategy, focusing on automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline operations and enhance service quality. The digital employee received the first-ever professional ID issued by the company.

The digital employee is programmed to automate routine tasks, saving over 10,000 work hours annually. Its responsibilities include attendance management, instant report generation, and data analysis, ensuring real-time operational readiness and improved efficiency.

Such automation optimizes productivity, enhances services for airlines and passengers, and allows employees to focus on strategic initiatives rather than repetitive manual tasks.

This step is a step towards enhancing digital transformation and employing modern technologies through several advantages.

Additionally to transform the transportation and logistics sector, Saleh Al Jasser also made an inspection tour of the Haramain High Speed Rail Station in Medina. His Excellency checked on the train’s readiness and was briefed on the train’s operation and the services provided to the Guests of God and visitors during the holy month of Ramadan, directing them to double efforts and intensify performance.
