Sharjah Airport has confirmed its full operational readiness to manage the expected surge in passenger traffic during the peak summer season.

From July 1 to 15, 2025, the airport is projected to welcome more than 800,000 travelers and tourists arriving in and departing from the emirate.

The UAE is setting new global standards in tourism with record economic contributions, innovative attractions, robust infrastructure, and forward-thinking diversification. Sharjah is recognized as the cultural capital of the UAE, offering a rich blend of heritage, art, nature, and family-friendly attractions.

According to the reports, the emirate is increasingly focusing on sustainable tourism, with projects like mountain vineyards at the Ghamam Retreat offering eco-friendly, high-altitude experiences.

The announcement comes as part of Sharjah Airport Authority’s proactive strategy to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for all passengers. A comprehensive operational plan has been put in place to accommodate the increase in demand, focusing on enhancing passenger services, optimizing terminal operations, and maintaining the highest safety and security standards.

The summer travel period is one of the busiest times for the airport, and the current preparations reflect Sharjah’s growing position as a major hub for regional and international travel.

Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has outlined a series of operational measures in coordination with strategic partners to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and comfort.

According to the statement, “Efforts are being intensified around the clock by working teams and customer service staff to provide necessary support, respond to passenger inquiries, and guide them in using the airport’s smart services and innovative technologies with ease. This ensures a smooth and integrated travel experience.”
