Sharjah Airport has confirmed its preparedness to manage a surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming winter holiday season, after introducing enhanced operational measures aimed at improving passenger flow and maintaining high service standards.
The airport has advised travelers to arrive at least three hours before their scheduled departure to ensure a smooth and timely travel experience during the busy winter holiday period.
Sharjah Airport Encourages Use of Digital and Fast-Track Services
Sharjah Airport has encouraged passengers to utilize available digital and fast-track services to streamline their travel experience. Air Arabia passengers, in particular, are urged to take advantage of the city check-in service, which allows them to complete check-in procedures in advance and head directly to passport control upon arrival at the airport.
Services at the airport include self-check-in kiosks, baggage drop facilities, smart gates, fast-track options, and the Hala service. Air Arabia and Fly Jinnah passengers can also use the newly introduced home check-in service.
New Lounge for Added Comfort
The airport has opened the Al Diyafah Lounge at the main entrance to the departure area, providing extra comfort and hospitality for passengers. In addition, it has increased staffing across key operational areas to ensure faster processing for both departing and arriving travelers during peak periods.
