Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of UAE, has arrived in New Delhi on a two-day visit to India.
Sheikh Hamdan was received by Minister of State Suresh Gopi at the airport in the national capital. This is his first official visit to India as the Crown Prince of Dubai.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group; His Excellency Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Her Excellency Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; and His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports.
Other delegates include His Excellency Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy; His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; and His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications. The delegation also includes a number of senior officials and leaders representing different economic sectors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a working lunch for the Crown Prince this afternoon. The visiting dignitary will also hold meetings with External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Later in the evening, the Crown Prince will leave for Mumbai, where he will participate in a business round table with prominent business leaders from both sides. The interaction will strengthen India-UAE economic and commercial cooperation across traditional and futuristic areas.
The traditionally strong bilateral relations enjoyed by India-UAE gained new momentum when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the UAE in 2015. This marked the beginning of a new Comprehensive and Strategic partnership between the two countries.
Dubai has played an important role in India’s commercial, cultural and people-to-people exchanges with the UAE. The majority of India’s around 4.3 million diaspora in UAE reside and work in Dubai. The visit of the Crown Prince will further solidify the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and strengthen multifaceted ties with Dubai.
