The Social Housing Innovation Exhibition, held alongside the Social Housing Innovation Summit, successfully concluded at Exhibition World Bahrain.
The event was held from April 23 to 25 under the theme ‘Towards Innovative and Sustainable Housing Solutions,’ and under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Social Housing Innovation Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in collaboration with Eskan Bank, attracted strong attendance from citizens interested in the new housing financing options recently launched by the Ministry, with visitor numbers exceeding 16,000.
The exhibition featured wide participation from private sector partners, including real estate companies showcasing over 15,000 properties, financing banks offering Tas’heel, Tas’heel+, and special options for the newly introduced beneficiary category, as well as participation from several government entities.
Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Chairperson of Eskan Bank, said that the Social Housing Innovation Exhibition saw strong engagement from citizens in response to the exclusive offers presented by participating real estate companies and financing banks.
The Minister noted that the summit and exhibition witnessed a notable turnout, particularly following the launch of four new housing programs that contributed to expanding the range of available properties and enabling citizens to benefit from housing finance opportunities.
She highlighted the new programs: Tamooh (Ambitions), the Off Plan Sales Program for beneficiaries of the Government Land Development Rights Program, the Private Land Development Rights Program, and the second edition of the Bayti platform, featuring additional features and advantages.
The Minister commended the efforts of private sector partners, real estate developers, and commercial banks in supporting citizens and facilitating financing services and property offers during the exhibition.
She also pointed to the strong demand for units in the ‘Al Wadi’ project in Al Buhair and the “Al Naseem” project in Salman City, offered by Eskan Bank under the Government Land Development Rights Program, reflecting high interest in the projects’ units.
The Social Housing Innovation Exhibition showcased more than 15,000 properties, including villas, plots, and apartments at special prices aligned with the Ministry’s housing financing options, with the participation of over 16 real estate companies and five commercial banks.
