Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority (TGA) has announced the addition of two new passenger bus routes for travelers arriving in Saudi Arabia by land from Kuwait through Al-Khafji and Al-Ruqai border crossings.

The routes serve passengers traveling by air through King Fahd International Airport in Dammam or Qaisumah International Airport, as well as travelers returning to Kuwait through those airports.

The move is intended to provide travelers with more transportation options, make travel easier, and connect the Kingdom’s border crossings with Kuwait to its airports.

The TGA stated that the addition of new routes would enhance transport options, ensure the availability of services, and create direct connections between border crossings and airports. The first route connects the Al-Khafji border crossing with King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, while the second links the Al-Ruqai border crossing, located east of Hafr Al-Batin Governorate, with Qaisumah International Airport.

Each route will operate six direct daily trips in both directions, increasing the total number of scheduled daily trips to 12.

Recently, Saudi TGA introduced a new autonomous vehicle route in Riyadh, connecting Hayat Mall and Riyadh Gallery. This move is part of the country’s broader plans to expand autonomous transport services across multiple locations and foster the adoption of smart solutions within the Kingdom’s transportation sector.

The vehicles will operate daily under strict regulatory and technical supervision, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational excellence. This oversight will guarantee a secure and reliable travel experience for passengers.

In addition, the services are designed to offer an innovative transport solution, incorporating modern technologies and efficient systems to enhance convenience and comfort.
