The UAE Steel Producers Committee (SPC) has opened its new headquarters in Abu Dhabi at the Aldar Building, with the attendance of Juma Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy.

The inauguration of the UAE Steel Producers Committee’s (SPC) new headquarters underscores the country’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its national iron industry, a vital sector for the UAE’s economic development.

Eng. Saeed Al Ghafri, Chairman of the SPC, along with representatives from the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UAE Chambers), the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as several executive committee members and notable leaders from the iron and steel sector were also present at the event.

The steel industry plays a crucial role in supporting the nation’s infrastructure, construction, and manufacturing sectors, all of which are essential to the UAE’s broader economic diversification strategy.

According to the statement, the SPC aims to drive growth, improve industry standards, and position the UAE as a leading player in the global steel market by enhancing collaboration among local steel producers and fostering innovation. Further, this initiative aligns with the country’s vision of becoming a hub for advanced manufacturing and sustainable industrial development.

UAE Steel Producers Committee

Established in 2020, the Steel Producers Committee is a non-profit entity representing steel producers across the UAE, operating under Federal Law No. 22/2000 issued by the UAE Chambers. The committee’s primary role is to advocate for and support the interests of steel producers in the country, promoting collaboration, innovation, and the development of the national steel industry.
