The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government has conducted a comprehensive media briefing to update the public on the current regional situation, highlighting its coordinated and unified national response.

Representatives from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Tourism, and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) outlined the government’s coordinated response, emphasizing transparency, preparedness, and institutional coordination.

HE Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, highlighted that the UAE economy continues to demonstrate resilience, underpinned by diversification, openness, and proactive policy frameworks.

The government has implemented flexible strategies to absorb geopolitical and economic pressures, ensuring market stability.

Strategic reserves of essential goods are sufficient to meet demand for four to six months, while imports continue uninterrupted through diversified trade partnerships and alternative sourcing mechanisms.

Daily monitoring of stock levels at suppliers and retail outlets, supported by a digital platform connecting 627 major outlets, ensures real-time oversight. During Ramadan, 420 inspection visits are being conducted to maintain compliance and prevent unjustified price increases.

HE Bin Touq called on businesses to uphold social responsibility and encouraged consumers to follow responsible purchasing practices, reporting violations via the consumer protection hotline.

The UAE’s tourism and aviation sectors remain fully operational, with 1,260 hotels and over 40,000 tourism-related companies maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Emergency measures have been implemented for affected travelers, including coordination with embassies, the Emirates Tourism Council, and government authorities to provide accommodation and logistical support.

The General Civil Aviation Authority has activated emergency air corridors and regional contingency plans with GCC partners and the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Current operational capacity is 48 flights per hour, with 17,498 passengers transported on 60 flights since 1 March 2026. The next phase targets 80 daily flights carrying over 27,000 passengers. The UAE government will cover accommodation and subsistence costs for affected travelers.

Energy, water, telecommunications, transport, healthcare, and supply chains remain fully operational. Business continuity plans are in place, and education continues through distance learning platforms.

An operational plan ensures support for stranded travelers through coordinated flights, accommodation, and transport, while the Joint National Media Cell ensures transparent communication.

The briefing reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty, protecting citizens and residents, ensuring economic stability, and maintaining uninterrupted essential services.
