Etihad picks Kyndryl to accelerate its digital transformation

The national airline of the UAE, Etihad Airways has entered into a multi-year agreement with the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl to help accelerate the next stage of its digital transformation journey.

According to the statement, Kyndryl will assist Etihad in modernizing its IT infrastructure by supporting the usage of best-in-class cloud platforms.

Etihad will tap Kyndryl to work closely with leading cloud providers to select fit-for-purpose cloud platforms that are based on the specific requirements of Etihad’s mission-critical workloads. Kyndryl will also aid Etihad in migrating and managing its workloads across the new multi-cloud environment over the next three years.

The company said that, “through a multi-cloud model, Etihad will have seamless access to advanced cloud services and be able to combine the capabilities that each cloud platform provides.” This will allow for more efficient operations and a faster time to market for new products.
