UAE’s leading steel producing company Emirates Steel has awarded a ‘General Designer’ contract to Tata Consulting Engineers, Abu Dhabi, for its new fully automated first-of-its-kind Hot Rolled Coils (HRC) plant in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The company has said that the agreement intends to perform a thorough examination and research of the project at all stages.
According to the statement, the 10-month contract will review and analyze all phases of the project, as well as debate logistics and environmental challenges, define state-of-the-art technical solutions, and establish budgets as well as business cases, among other things.

Recently, Emirates Steel announced intentions to build a new flat steel products plant, expanding its wide-range high-quality products portfolio. When completed, the new factory will increase Emirates Steel’s annual production capacity to more than 5 million tons. Furthermore, the new plant will have the smallest carbon impact in the region because of its cutting-edge technology.
